Lash Lift & Tint – More Information

What is Brow Lamination and Tint?

Brow lamination is very popular at the moment as it’s a more natural solution to give your brow hair a lift.   The procedure involves a solution that initially relaxes the brow hair, then a fixing solution is applied and the hair styled into its new position.  Once the hair is ‘fixed’ in place, the hair is then tinted. These two steps give an instant boost to your brow providing lift and shape.

The three step, which is optional, is to have your brow area tinted.  If you have brow hair the dye tints the hair and the skin.  If you have no brow hair then the dye tints the skin to give the illusion of a brow.

Brow lamination and tint can be quite dramatic.

If you want something a little more subtle, maybe opt for just a lamination, if you have hair, or alternatively, just a tint if you haven’t.  Experiment.  Different elements of these treatments picked to get the look you’re after.

Benefits of Brow Lamination

This is an ideal treatment for anyone who has no brow hair to someone who has lots of brow hair.  By resetting the brow hair into a more slanted angel makes the brow look thicker.  By tinting the brow you’re adding a defined shape and colour.

How Long Will My Lash Lift Treatment Last?

It does depend on how well you look after your brow area following treatment and your lifestyle.

As with a lash lift and tint if you exercise and sweat more than normal sweat will relax and fade the area a little faster.

Keeping them dry for the first 24-48 hours will definitely help prolong the effect.

Generally you’re looking at between 4-6 weeks before considering your next treatment.

How Long Does a Brow Lamination Procedure Take?

I like to book out an hour. This is usually plenty of time.

Preparing for Your Brow Lamination Procedure?

It’s good if you could come with no makeup on your forehead.  I will cleanse your forehead beforehand.

It would be useful if you could exfoliate your forehead as part of your morning regime.  If any dry skin is removed beforehand that means your lamination will last longer as I’m not applying tint to dry dead skin!

I will go through your aftercare with you following your treatment.

But you need to keep them dry for the first 24-48 hours, so no swimming, saunas, or gym!

Who Can Get a Brow Lamination?

Most people can have a brow lamination, but, as you’d expect, there are a few exceptions:

  • If you’re pregnant and in your first trimester then no;
  • If you suffer from eczema, psoriasis and any skin condition where a chemical tint might irritate, it’s best not to proceed with this treatment.

Do I Need a Patch Test?

Yes.  I will need to test your skin to see if you have any reaction to the glue and the dye.  The glue is used to temporarily stick the lashes to the mould whilst the lashes are relaxed, permed and tinted.

The patch test needs to be carried out at least 24 hours beforehand.  Therefore when booking your treatment, it’s also a good idea to also book your patch test at the same time. Click here to book – Book Now

Does It Hurt?

No. You keep your eyes closed during the lash lift and tint during the whole procedure and just relax, listen to the calming music and take time for yourself.

Same goes for the brow lamination.  It’s a relaxing treatment, so just take this time for yourself.
