Brow Lamination – More Specific Information

What is Lash Lift and Tint?

A lash lift literally lifts the lashes, just like when you use a lash curler when applying your mascara, but even better as it’s semi-permanent! The procedure involves a solution that initially relaxes the lashes, then a perming solution is applied whilst the lashes are curled upwards over a silicone mould. Once the lashes are set in place they are then tinted (optional). These three steps give an instant boost to your lashes making them look naturally thicker, darker and longer.

Benefits of a Lash Lift

This is an ideal treatment for anyone wanting to spend less time getting ready in the mornings. It’s low maintenance. No applying mascara, just wake-up and go.

Ideal for those with straight lashes, fair lashes, anyone who wants a natural looking curl to their eye lashes.

If you want a more dramatic effect for an evening out, then you can still layer your mascara to give your lashes that extra boost.

How Long Will My Lash Lift Treatment Last?

It does depend on how well you look after your lashes and your lifestyle.

If you exercise and sweat then expect your lash lift and tint to relax and fade a little faster.

Keeping them dry for the first 24-48 hours will definitely help prolong the effect.

Generally you’re looking at between 4-6 weeks before considering your next treatment.

How Long Does a Lash Lift Procedure Take?

I like to book out an hour and quarter. This is usually plenty of time.

Preparing for Your Lash Lift Procedure?

It’s good if you could come with no eye makeup.  I will cleanse the lashes and eyelid beforehand with a gentle eye cleanser.

If you’ve had permanent makeup eyeliner carried out, you need to wait for your pmu to totally heal before embarking on a lash lift and tint treatment.  This treatment works perfectly with permanent eyeliner.

Obviously this treatment can’t be done on anyone with lash extensions!

Can I Still Wear Mascara?

The simple answer is yes.  You can still layer your favourite mascara over your lift, though you won’t need to curl them beforehand!

BUT, please wait at least 48 hours following your treatment before applying mascara.

Who Can Get a Lash Lift?

Most people can have a lash lift and tint, but there are a few exceptions:

  • Eye allergies (even if seasonal)
  • Skin disorders – eczema and psoriasis
  • Eye disorders – blepharitis,  conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma, watery eyes and cysts
  • Trichotillomania – when a person has an irresistible urge to pull out their hair
  • Inflammation of the eye or around the eye area
  • Pregnant – in your first trimester then no
  • Recent eye surgery.  Once totally healed and signed off by your surgeon you can then have this treatment.

Do I Need a Patch Test?

Yes.  I will need to test your skin to see if you have any reaction to the glue and the dye.  The glue is used to temporarily stick the lashes to the silicon mould whilst the lashes are relaxed, permed and tinted.

The patch test needs to be carried out at least 48 hours beforehand.  I will not carry out a lash lift and tint without a patch test.

Does It Hurt?

No. You keep your eyes closed during the lash lift and tint procedure and just relax, listen to the calming music and take time for yourself.

Aftercare Instructions

I will go through your aftercare with you following your treatment.

But you need to keep the area dry for the first 24-48 hours, so no swimming, saunas, or gym!
